Secondary Battery - Directional Control Valve

SMC has improved product performance and reliability with the redesigned SY series valve, offering major advances in valve performance for cost-effective solutions.  The series offers high flow with low power consumption in a compact, clean aesthetic design.  It is available in body ported or base mounted styles and can be used individually or manifold mounted.  The SY5000 has the same valve width as it predecessors, but the flow has been increased by up to 80%, allowing for reduced valve size.  A built-in strainer in the pillot valve prevents trouble caused by foreign matter.  By using H-NBR seal material for the main valve and seals, Ozone resistance has been improved.  Side, top and bottom port/pipe directions are available to allow flexible installation. 

The 25A-SY series is designed using material compatible with secondary battery applications and able to be used in low dew point environments.  These variations eliminate copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) material where possible, making them compatible with secondary battery manufacturing for electronics, automotive, and other vehicle type.

SMC's VP300/500/700 series solenoid valve offers high flow capacity and reduced pwer consumption (1.55W standard, 0.55W with power saving circuit).  The VP series may be used as either a selector valve or a divider valve.  It is available in a normally closed or a normally open style.  The series is vacuum applicable up to -101.2kPa.

Series VG342 is a 3 port pilot poppet solenoid valve that can be used as a selector or divider valve (external pilot).  Actuation is changeable between N.C., N.O., or external pilot types.  VG342 is possible to use in vacuum or under low pressures.  No lubrication is required.

The VHS series provides a convenient means of isolating supplied pressure in a pneumatic system and exhausting downstream pressure for maintenance purposes.  The units can be locked in the exhaust position and can be an integral part of an energy isiolation system.  Air flow directions is easily identified by handle orientation and labeling.

Finger valve series VHK has a large effective area of 2.0 to 17.5mm². This series begins with a minimum tube O.D of ø4. The valve direction clearly indicates whether the valve is open or closed (shut to open is counter- clockwise). Classification of knob by color difference facilitates distinction between 2 port valves (gray) and 3 port valves (blue). The optional flame resistant model's knob, whether using the 2 or 3 port valve, is red.

Series VT3 port, direct operated poppet valves are compact in size, yet provide large flow capacity, and low power consumption.  The series is suitable for use in vacuum applications.  The VT valve is a single valve with 6 function (universal porting type) such as N.C. valve, N.O. valve, divider valve, selector valve, etc.  The manifold style valve, series VO, can be easily converted from N.C. (Normally Closed) to N.O. (Normally Open) by merely turning over the switch cover.
